Vosco 2012 Labour Representatives Conference
Vosco 2012 Labour Representatives Conference was successfully held at Vosco’s head office on 19th March 2012.
The conference honorably welcomed Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hue, Chairman of Member’s Council of Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) and Mr. Le Phan Linh, Head of Vinalines Trade Union. Addressing the conference, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hue highly appreciated Vosco business performance and great efforts in a very difficult period of shipping market. He encouraged and requested Vosco to continuously seek suitable solutions to heighten transport capacity and improve business performance.
At the conference, the performance of Resolution of the Labor Conference 2011 was assessed and measures to implement the 2012 business plan were set out on the basis of the content of Resolution 01/NQ-CP issued by the Government on 03rd Jan 2012. This Resolution instructed State owned corporations and groups to concentrate on saving of production costs, reducing of 5% to 10% of management cost and seeking solutions to improve business results.
The delegates also heard about the following reports presented by Vosco Trade Union:
- Reports on Usage of Welfare and Bonus Fund in 2011,
- Plan for 2012 Bonus Fund, and
- Assessment on the implementation of the 2010 – 2011 Labor Collective Agreement.
Afterward, some amendments on the 2012-2013 Labor Collective Agreement were submitted to further ensuring legitimate and legal interests of employees under the current national laws.
Besides, the Conference was enriched by the presentation of the delegates on measures to improve the business performance of Vosco. They also focused on discussing proposals relating to their lawful benefits. All of the questions and proposals of delegates were discussed properly and publically by the company leaders.
With high sense of responsibility, the conference successfully and unanimously set out the suitable measures to deal with the current difficulties, enabling Vosco to continuously and steadily develop.
